Shell V-Power - 10 POINTS?
(2010-05-30 10:35:49) 1. Says: I'm getting an oil change on Tuesday and afterwards I'm going to add some Shell V-Power Complete Fuel System Cleaner in my gas tank before fill up. I also have some STP Fuel Injector and Carburetor Cleaner which I add in the gas tank after I fill up. Is okay to add both of these cleaners at the same time?2. Says: No, one would be plenty. They do the same thing.Using twice the recommended amount of dishwasher soap, doesn't get the dishes cleaner.3. Says: You dont need to add the stp or other cleaner if you plan on adding the v-power.By adding the other you are just wasting money and it will not improve the cleaning.4. Says: Sometimes different cleaner chemicals will react with each other and defeat the purpose. I would use only the one cleaner you choose at a time. The best one is Jetronic Cleaner found at foreign car parts stores. It is made by Lubro-Moly. Marathon gas is supposed to have STP already in it! Many people forget that the OTHER side of the induction system, namely the air intake, requires cleaning, too. This is the throttle body and idle air control valve. Use Gum-out spray to accomplish this. Also use GUNK orange at the power wash to keep your engine SHOWROMM clean, the way it was meant to be!! You will be amazed at how much hidden smoothness and power is waiting for you.5. Says: one will suffice as they are also fairly expensive by standards..i've tried many, now use Sea Foam from parts store, one in fuel one in oil about every fourth fill up or oil change, never actually read the directions label.
