My idle cable spring has snapped off the part of metal it was attached to ?
(2010-05-30 10:36:34) 1. Says: how can i fix this ? iv got a peugeot 106, the only thing i can think of is to weld it back on as its snapped with the peice of metal still on it. Here is the pichttp://uploadpic.org/showpic-63564/photo0036.html2. Says: Ok that sucks, what I would do is not weld it, but epoxy it, Loc-tight has some great stuff I have been using and wish I knew about it before, it's better than JB Weld or anything I have used, and you only have to hold it in place for 5 minutes, and it's ready to go in 20 minutes, comes in two syringes together to mix it evenly, they make plastiweld, cement weld, general use, just get the one you need for metal, I could do a commercial on this stuff, and once it's cured, it's not coming off, just use some electrical spray to clean both sides without leaving a residue (brake cleaner is good too) and follow directions.3. Says: Welding that piece looks like its going to be futile. If it snapped that easy its got to be made of some cheap pot-metal that welding isnt going to hold. Buy the new part, and assure that it wont break again. Tag: My idle cable spring has snapped off the part of metal it was attached to ?
