(2010-05-30 10:37:46) 1. Says: It was running fine then I went to the doctor, came out nothing. When I try and start it it just putters and dies. I can't even press the gas petal to give it gas, it still dies.2. Says: MariaAlthough I'm old school car mechanic and I do enjoy helping all you ladies out there for any and all your car problems.
The only thing that I can tell you is that you have not done hardly any kind of maintenance to your jeep.
The fuel injection system is where I would begin at and all it is is the system has an electric fuel pump in the gas tank and in the engine area it has fuel injectors my only possible answer is that the fuel injectors are clogged up with impurities that are a source of our lousy gas stations that don't clean the tanks at all.
If your jeep was old school then you would have to pump the gas pedal to get it started, with fuel injection it won't do you any good to do this and will only frustrate you more and more.
In the future try to add a couple of berryman fuel and carburator cleaners to the gas tank every 3 months throught the year and see what improvements give you just by doing this method and e mail me later with your findings of your troubles via e mail through asker who is an automotive king that researches and answers all of us that contribute our knowledge of anything automotive.
