Whats the best way to drain a diesel tank that has been fille with gas?

You can get away with mixing up to a max of 10% unleaded gas in with the diesel. But take it easy for a few tank fulls until it is all burned out. This is an old trucker's trick for winter starting.

As for the gas and diesel you removed, use it in your lawn mower. It may smoke but there is nothing it will hurt.

JD2. JD7 Says: There is a drain plug under the tank. Unfortunately you wont be able to use the drained gas in a car either beacuase you will be blowing blue smoke everywhere.3. Steve Says: Unhook the filler tube at the tank, and siphon out as much fuel as you can get out. You may need to remove the tank to get all of the fuel out. Once you get all the fuel out as you can. Refill with fresh diesel and you should be fine. Even if there is a little gas left in the tank the fresh diesel should dilute the gas down.4. David Says: that Guy is almost rite with 10 gas being ok but you can have a lot more just add some 2cycle oil to the tank for engine and injector lube . Some truckers use auto trans fluid, I use 2cycle oil .
