(2010-05-30 10:54:37) 1. Says: Its a Yellow color, and im not sure if thats from Dirt or if it was that color when it was made. its a Jaguar air Filter.I Had it out for a few days, and i got THOROUGHLY De-Rided by the Jaguar board for asking why it needed to be in.
So, can i wash OR Air-Blow this one Out? Im not even sure it is that dirty.. It is also Round.
Thanks2. Says: Yes You Can.3. Says: Hi
Air filters are usually either white or yellow. This is so you can see how dirty they are, and dirty air filters go black. You can sometimes take them out and give them a blast with some compressed air to clean them up a wee bit, but the best approach is a new one.
However, it sounds as though yours is still quite clean.

Cheryl4. Says: i recommend REPLACING it with a NEW one but its your call. I would not recommend washing but you can blow it out with air. Blow it from the inside to outside (opposite of the normal air flow) You will get most of the dust and sand out that way but it will never be as clean as a new one as dust will collect and stick to any minute amount of oily residue on the filter.5. Says: I would replace the element with a brand new one and make a note of the mileage. I replace my air filters every 10-12 thousand miles. I would not wash of try to blow out the filter, especially since you are not sure. Engines, like most people, thrive on clean air. Tag: Can I wash out my Air Filter?
