(2010-05-30 11:33:47)
1. a_mckenzie013 Says: My 1996 Chevy s10 chugs at 45- 50 mph. It also studders and chugs when you try to burnout. It makes a pinging sound while hard acceleration. I changed the fuel pump because a mechanic told me too and I just changed the fuel filter because he told me I might try that too Does anyone know what might be the problem? I need some serious answers
2. brian d Says: knocking and pinging is an ignition or timing issue. it either needs a tune up or the computer isn't advancing the timing
3. bandit_60 Says: it might be the cat converter if your losing power. have it checked before buying 1.
