My check engine light came on and im confused?

Also the most common issue with the 02 sensor is the heater circuit inside the sensor. Also the computer codes must be cleared. Disconnecting the battery is not always effective. The person that decided that it was bad, made a bad call OR they forgot to reset the computer's diagnostic system.

It could be in the wiring or the computer itself. I would take it in to a mechanic and have them take a look. It is possible the new sensor is bad but I've watched too many people change the same part multiple times only to eventually find out something else is causing that code to come up.
