1. Rick Says: i have a 2008 silverado truck and 2004 chrysler seebring that need additional keys
2. Watch Dawg Says: Walmart........$1.50 each.
3. Dave87gn Says: dont go to homedepot or lowes, go to a locksmith
4. lukkkee Says: Any place where you can watch the keys being made. Most of those little kiosks are highly viewable and some of the hardware stores have the key business right on the counter where you can watch. If anyone starts to walk off with your key(s) in hand stop them and tell them that you aren't comfortable with your keys out of eye sight. That's not an unreasonable request. If you get any static just say Thx, But No Thx and go elsewhere.
5. thebax2006 Says: Go to the dealer. You'll get the right key blank the first time and the keys will need programming anyway. The amount of time and frustration saved is worth the few extra dollars spent. If the Chrysler key is worn out, have them cut the new key with the factory code cutter that uses the vin# to cut the new key, that way you won't make a duplicate of a worn out key. Have all the keys for the vehicle with you, once they program the new key the old key needs to also be programmed at the same time or it won't work anymore.
6. PETER Says: When I needed a spare for my Cadillac I did not go to the dealer. I found a locksmith who had a machine to read my key chip and it cost me $50.00, not $150.00. Try to call some and ask if they can do that.
7. GM Customer Service Says: I suggest taking your keys to the dealer to get replacements. It is the best place to get replacement keys because as others have said it saves headaches with programming the keys to the vehicle as well.
