Should i get a Cold Air Intake or Short Ram Intake?
(2010-05-30 12:20:15) 1. Says: I have a Acura RSX (auto) and i'm wondering if i should get a cold air intake or short ram. I live in TX, so the issue with the cold air intake sucking up water isn't a problem.2. Says: The car already has a cold air intake.If you don't understand how, I suggest you go learn what a cold air intake is.
As far a short ram...why would you want to suck hot air from around the engine bay into the engine?
Then again, it's unlikely that you're going to see more than 1-2 horsepower regardless, so waste your money however you want. You'd get more gains by removing your passenger seat, and it's equally as dumb.3. Says: um what does living in texas have to do with water sucking problems?? does it NEVER rain in texas??
if ut get a cold air intake and live in the desert u still should get a blow-off valve to keep ur engine protected...4. Says: a cold air intake will be fine...obviously where it mounts determines weather it might pick up some water... but most after market bolt on kits will mount in an area previously researched for clean dry air pick up.5.
