Question about a Saab 900 timing chain tensioner?

(2010-05-30 12:29:34)
1. Jim Says: I have a 1994 classic Saab 900 with a non-turbo 2.1L motor. I hear a slight rattle in my engine compartment. I suspect it's the timing chain. Where is the timing chain tensioner and how do I go about adjusting it?
2. Pinger Says: No adjust, replace is only option. Replace chain and tensioner together or problem will come back soon. Tensioner is under timing chain cover next to timing chain. Fairly involved project, you must be an experienced mechanic to attempt this repair.
