Tailight Issue on Chevy Blazer 89 S-10?
(2010-05-30 12:39:01) 1. Says: Ok so My back driver taillight has an issue. The socket won't hold the bulb securely. A friend told me to take pliers and gently press around the socket once the bulb was in, however it is not that kind of socket. I thought about just replacing the socket all together, but I do not know where to find one or even how to install it. The tear down put together book I have does not have anything in it describing this. Any help would be so appreciated. Also my turn signal ( same side) won't work. Ive checked all fuses and even changed the bulbs. Even replaced the flasher, but still nothing. :(2. Says: If socket will not hold bulb securely that is the issue with the turn (not getting appropriate ground current through the sides of the socket.)I suggest you replace fixture and be done with it. Local salvage yard will have those as they are extremely common.3. Says: Replace the fixture. You'll need the whole thing because it is not available in parts. Visit the salvage yard.
