replaced pilot bearing release bearing pressure plate and the clutch disk2. Says: You should adjust the cable so that there is about a half inch of free play at the top, where there is no tension on the clutch arm at all.
If the clutch then disengages and engages only an inch or 2 from that, that is good.
That means there is not a lot of slop, the clutch is not warped, etc.
Engaging and disengaging near the top is good.
Just make sure there is always that half inch freeplay.
That is all you should care about.3. Says: the clutch should start to engage about 2" from the floor. try tightening the cable instead of loosening it. Tag: Clutch grabbing high?
