My kx 125 has a blown motor how much to fix?

If you have to have the cylinder rebored or Nicasiled (depending if steel sleeve or lined). Also make sure that non of your power valve setup was damaged.If you only burnt the piston and rings, and you can get away with a light hone job i would like to think you can get away for about $100. If you need to bore, that is an extra $40--50. If you need to have the cylinder renicasiled that will be $150-250 depending on how much it is torn up. Hopefully you didnt damage any of the exhaust valves and that will be it.
On the bikes, if i have damaged the cylinder beyond use, i have found that it is cheaper sometimes to just replace the cylinder instead of repairing it.
If you have never done this kind of job yourself i recommend giving it a try. This engine is so easy to work on and you will it apart and the piston in your hand in about 10 minutes. Make sure to drain the coolant first. Tag: My kx 125 has a blown motor how much to fix?
