2000 mondeo indicator and heater problem?

1. A real mom Says: My indicators and blowers have suddenly stopped working on my old x reg mondeo 1.8 petrol.

Common suggestions seem to be that the relay has gone??? Does anyone know if this is expensive?

Im really strapped for cash at the moment and could do without a trip to the garage.
