Transmission question for the third gen camaro?

1. herbabii4lyfe Says: I have a 1982 camaro Z28 that just blew out the turbo 350 so i am going to a turbo 400 or so i thought is there a special bracket or adapter i need to make my crossmember fit?because right now it will not fit and no one around me seems to have the answer but yet alot of people have the swap done so i know it can be done any help please the problem is the crossmember is now in the wrong spot it wants to sit under the pan of the turbo 400 but it cant because the tailshaft has the bracketto balance the trans and that cant be free hanging help please!!!!

When I 1st built my 1988 camaro, I used a th-400 trans (still running it now)

I used the $125 hurst made crossmember and torque arm bracket kit bought from summit racing. It has an offset crossmember that bolts in OEM place and mount loctaion moved back for the th-400, and comes with a torque arm bracket that mounts to the tail shaft bolts
