Does anyone know where to get Lifetime warranty brakes?
(2010-05-30 13:18:20) 1. Says: I was looking for some lifetime warranty brakes that cover wear and defects. I heard auto zone use to carry them but I don't think they do anymore. My car is a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T.2. Says: Any brake pad that claims to not wear is going to be so hard it wont stop your car or its going to cost a fortune so they don't go broke replacing them every few years.3. Says: most chains like checker kragen etc.hey you aint gonna like em if your into your car.i threw my noisy squealing lifetime warranty brakes away and just bought organic pads and counted on changing them yearly.4. Says: You are out of your mind if you think about cheap brakes on a GST. You want new rotors, the cheaper Chinese ones work well and I have not had a warping problem which you will get if you machine your rotors thinner. I use Wagner thermo quiets on most of my customers vehicles."Life time" brakes is nothing more than a cheap set of hard, noisy, low quality set of pads which they will replace for free (if you want them again!) They will also tell you that 4 calipers are bad and charge you for bleeding the system after replacing the calipers. You'll end up with a $600 brake job with cheap parts again. If you are the type that likes to save money on your vehicles, sell the GST now to someone that appreciates the car and wants to take care of it. That way there won't be another person potty mouthing Mitsubishi's which I feel is a fine company to work for and a great product to drive. Use factory parts, don't use Fram oil filters, they cause lash adjuster noise. Only use NGK spark plugs. Tag: Does anyone know where to get Lifetime warranty brakes?
