I used a can of fix a flat on my rear left tire, and now my car shakes between 55-75 MPH? (see details)?

1. Like it is. Says: Asked this question earlier... but I wanted to ask again with these details.

This tire has always lost air, slowly, for as long as I can remember. I have to put air in it every month or so in order to keep it full. I was tired of having to put air in it ever month or two, so I let it get down again... and when it needed air, this time I put fix a flat in it and drove on it like the can instructs. My car didn't shake until now, now that I have used the can of fix a flat. I put the entire can into the tire, then drove the car (says to drive at least 2-4 miles, but I drove to work, about 15 miles). As soon as I got up to about 55-75 MPH, the car is shaking... I'm guessing because of the junk inside the tire. Will this eventually go away?

Also, just as the can instructs... after getting to work (15 mile drive), I put additional air into the tire in order to bring it up to full tire pressure (35PSI).

Like I said, the tire has always slowly gone flat... so I used a can of this stuff on it, and now it shakes for the first time.
2. dmaverick_92546 Says: you probably need a new tire now. The shaking is caused by the Fix-A-Flat rolling around in the tire. The majority of it remains in a liquid form inside the tire. You should have gotten it fixed most places only charge around ten bucks to fix a tire. The Fix a flat cost what? around 5 or six bucks. plus the chemicals in Fix-a Flat are corrosive to rubber that 's how it seals the hole.
3. Like it is. Says: For the record, I didn't need a new tire. The only places not willing to fix this were big chain tire places. I got it fixed for $18 + tax.
4. Derrick S Says: This product is for a temporary fix to get you off the road and into a tire center. You'll need to still get the tire looked at to find the problem. I'd take the car to where the tire was purchased with the receipt. The worst may be replacing the tire, but I'd suspect a bad valve stem, a porous defect in the rim, or the tire/rim seal is bad. But the "Fix A Flat is causing the shaking because it's not suppose to be a long term fix.
5. bandit_60 Says: that stuff can come loose and roll around in your tire and throw the balance off. your better just to get it plugged or have the bead sealed at a tire shop.
6. JBF Says: Well, you should have taken the tire to a tire shop ages ago to have it repaired so you wouldn't have any more problems. Now that you have put Fix-A-Flat in it the tire is ruined and will need to be replaced. The use of this product automatically means you can not repair the tire anymore - says so right on the can. The reason your car shakes at highway speeds is all that corrosive, toxic chemical slop sloshing around inside your tire and wheel assembly has thrown it out of balance.

Fix-A-Flat is designed for emergency use only - to get you to a shop to have a damaged tire REPLACED. It is not a repair in any sense of the word and is not designed for long-term use. If you had taken the car in to have the tire repaired it might have cost you $20 or $30. Now depending on what size/model of tire you need you are going to have to spend perhaps $100 to $150 to replace it.
7. DER ALTE FIRZ Says: Some of the material inside the can got stuck in one certain area if the tire. It added extra weight to that part of the tire. Now the tire is acting as if it is out of round and shaking the car.
You'll have to get a new tire to stop the shaking.
