Should I buy an 89 Lincoln Mark VII LSC with almost 200k on it ?

Nahla Says: I went to a dealership and they were selling an 89 Lincoln Mark VII. but the car has almost 200k miles on it .but on the other hand the car is 21 years old .I test drove it and cranked it up and everything ran smoothly. but he only wants 1000 for it...should i buy????2. Andy Says: 200k is getting up there on the mileage.It might be fine if it had regular service done to it.One thing to keep in mind though is that Lincoln parts can cost twice as much as the same type part as for a Ford.I know this because i had a Lincoln Mark VIII.So it's a gamble.It might go to 250k with no trouble or it might go to the end of the block and break.Given the cost of fixing a Lincoln and it's age i would pass on it if it was me.3. llabnows Says: for a thousand sure why not.. but you'll prob. be buying a new car sometime soon4.
