John Says: Since you have tried multiple starters and flywheels, it appears the mounting area of the starter may need to be worked on a bit so that you can change the actual position the starter bolts up. The starter itself may also need some adjustment. It isn't clear from your post how the starter and flywheel teeth are lining up but adjust accordingly so that you can change the relationship in the correct direction. Another thing to check is that the flywheel is on correctly. Could it be shimmed?
