1. the phoenix suns rock the house Says: I have changed my pre cat 02 sensor and cleaned my MAF sensor but my check engine light keeps coming on. I do not appear to have an intake mainfold leak, and I also changed my intake air tube cuz I could stick my arm through it but it did not fix the problem. I find that my car does not idle rough or anything. I reset my computer and it stays off for about 600 miles then comes on. While the light is off I get normal gas mileage, but as soon as the CEL comes back on I get horrible gas mileage again. Any ideas????
2. ThatMovieGuy Says: It could be any kind of vacuum leak not just from the manifold. A hose could be split.
3. Slardi Says: Your ECM could be going out and reading giving itself a false reading. I'm stumped but without proper diagnostic equipment, something like this could be a real ***** to find.
4. mechkman Says: You probably have bad oxygen sensors!

Remember yer car is 7 yrs old!! Oxygen sensors usually last about 2 - 3 yrs.

Replace all oxygen sensors that should take care of the check engine light!!
