You don't pull the engine you pull the transaxle. I've never heard of any other way. That's why mechanics charge so much. If you're replacing the clutch, you should do the throw-out bearing and the pressure plate.3. bandit_60 Says: no you can,t install it that way. you have to drop the transmission for a job like that. you don,t have to pull the motor.all you do is block up the engine to keep it from falling then drop the uni-body, pull the axles and drop the transmission. the clutch is inside the bell housing.that,s the way i do it.
