Does Mitsubishi eclipse have a rear drum or disk?
(2010-05-30 15:36:53) 1. Says: or does it have both?what's the difference between drum and disk?2. Says: Like the other guy you can check without takin wheels off. If you see a a shiny little wheel with a little caliper then thats disc. If you just see nothing but a black cover inside the wheels then thats drums. Drums push the brake pads outwards on the drum. disc brakes push the brake pads against the rotor. Disc brakes are more better.3. Says: cant have both... what year? most have disk look..you dont even have to take off wheel to see4. Says: Most likely disk. If you can't see shiny through the rims than there drum.5. Says: drum looks like a big bowl over the brake behind your tire, usually in the rear. u cant see the brakes, but they sit firmly inside the drum.
disc is the rotor that use brake pads..which sit on a caliper to clench the disc when coming to a stop. you will see the pad sitting either at like 45 degree angles or like 135 degree angles (10 o clock or 2 a clock) if that makes sense.. lol.
you can just look at the wheels on the car.. it may come with drums on the rear, disc on the front. Tag: Does Mitsubishi eclipse have a rear drum or disk?
