1. seth a.k.a psyco Says: I'm looking to buy a 90 bronco, but when i test drove it, the steering wheel was dangerously loose.
When I'm driving the car, the steering wheel would turn 1/4 inch before the wheels would.

I don't know, how much that sort of thing would cost me to replace and have done, or how long it would take me to do myself.
2. roughboy68oh Says: A steering column is not hard to replace and can often be found in a salvage yard for under $100. The thing is that what you describe sounds more like worn steering components in the front end than it does the column. The parts usually still don't cost much, but, the labor to replace them can be expensive depending an what parts are worn out.
3. mister ss Says: you need new steering parts in the front end not a new steering column, have the front end checked out for bad parts.
