As a matter of fact 95% of the kids who beg to have these installed don't have any idea how poorly the car will ride. They don't know what else to do but be mad as hell.Lowering springs are much shorter than the ones that came on the car. The wire the springs are made of is larger diameter. Consequently the pounds per inch of spring travel rate goes straight through the roof. When that happens irregularities in the road sets up a choppy, tight bumpy ride. Stiff lowering springs must be accompanied by shocks or struts with stiffer valving to control the quick up and down oscillations of the springs.
Nobody makes lowering springs that drop 2" or 2.5". The suspension links and oil pan would hit the ground. Tag: What are good brands of lowering springs?
