How to bead a tire on a wheel barrow?

(2010-05-30 16:05:40)
1. Skip Says: i have a wheel barrow tire that won't hold air. i think it just needs to be beaded. any ideas?
2. REV B Says: I had the same problem. You need an inner tube. I also got the liner because the inside of the wheel was so rough.
3. nick Says: use a ratchet strap and go around the tire. ratchet it down tight and, with the valve core removed, put air in the tire. if it still isnt holding air, then tighten down the strap a little more. It the bead is set but it is still leaking somewhere, put an inner tube in the tire or buy a new tire.
4. chipmonkduck Says: examine for any punctures then i would probably either goop it or install a tube.
5. jesta.drifter Says: This is a little dangerous but what we used to do is spray a little either (starting fluid) inside tire and through a lit match in. The explosion will seat the tire.
6. Buster Says: Being the lazy SOB I am, I just go th Harbor Freight and buy a new wheel, there like $10 bucks with a coupon, and come with rim, tire, tube and air, besides it would cost as much for a tube anywhere else.
