Says: Your Honda dealer is the best place to have the code read. The longer you let it side, potentially more damage to the emissions system can be done. The light and cause of it has to be repaired before the next state emissions inspection.3. Says: Get the code pulled at an auto parts store. It's free.4. Says: Yes. You know a check is free at the auto parts store.5. Says: If your check engine light is on, yes have it checked. But if not, then there's no need. Now, if the mileage is what you are concerned, then take it to a shop and have them do a diagnostic check, they can tell you what could break down before it does. Another thing, you might wanna change the bushing, upper and lower, your ride might be in need opf them. Does you car feel "loose" while driving? Well, bushings are shot. Says: If it has been on for that long, what's the point, now?If the light just came on recently, by all means find out what it means. Tag: Should I get my "check engine light" looked at?
