My fan on my olds 88 (1998) won't run sometimes?

(2010-05-30 16:12:46) 1. E S Says: these are the facts. once started the car put the fan on and didn't start up for about 20 seconds. yesturday,,wouldn't turn on AT ALL! No a/c light came on,,no fan, no nothing. Then this morning, got in, started car and fan position was on and WHA LA,,the fan was running! I switched it to off (cause it was blowing brrr cold),,then that was it,,,no more fan. Does this sound like a short?2. carguy Says: Yes it's probably a short or somethings loose somewhere. It very likely be in the blower motor relay. When the blower motor starts acting up that's often the culprit.3. E S Says: k,,so when we slap the top of the dash,,it'll kick on.
