1. Butters Says: Ok so i recently had some wheels that i purchased used off a 350z put on my 3000gt and the tires while they have some life left are more worn in the inside edge then on the outside. so my problem is, the car shakes pretty badly now. the tires are all inflated properly. Do i just need an alignment or is there another reason im not seeing? is it possible to get an alignment on tires that have these wear issues?
2. RussK Says: Inside or out side edge wear is an alignment problem, can be a combination of camber and / or tow settings.
Vibrations are due to tires and or wheels being out of balance or out of round.

Take it by a shop and have the alignment set and tires balanced.

If there is an underlining problem they should be able to tell you about it and get you on your way
3. jason Says: The wheels could need balancing.
4. Ironball Says: Try balancing the wheels. An alignment should be done with tires with even wear.
5. J Says: Your wheels need to be balance. Does the car pull to the side while driving? On a straight street let go of the steering wheel for a second and if you feel that the car is pulling you the either side then you also need an alignment
6. Motorhead Says: Alignment will not cause shaking.

If it only shakes at certain speeds, then it is balance.

Switch the backs to the front, and see if it goes away.

You can align with wear issues. That helps them know what to correct for.
And the alignment will make then begin to wear evenly.
7. oldmillwalkee Says: the tires and rims probably have not been balanced in a long time. I doubt the person you bought them from balanced them before selling.
