Which is better acrylic enamel or acrylic lacquer paint or what is the difference?

1. Ivan M Says: Very generally, enamal is easier to paint, clean, and repair, and not quite as toxic. Lacquer looks better (thinner, deeper and brighter colors), difficult to clean and repair, more expensive, and toxic.
2. Pancakes Says: I am not an expert, but in my experience, acrylic enamel goes on easier because you can put it on thicker (so that it blends out smoother) without dripping as easily.
Which is why it is usually used for the original paint of the whole car.

But it takes much longer to dry. Weeks actually.
It is more sun resistant.

So if you need to just repair part of a car, and will need to rub it down, to either take out orange peel in transition areas, intend to put on multi coats, etc., then acrylic lacquer is what they tend to use.
Drys in less than a day.

But also has worse fumes.
And if you mix with too much reducer, it can checker when it dries.
It does not age as well.
