I have a problem with my brakes?

(2010-05-30 16:21:22) 1. Mr. Wildflowers (RIP Alex) Says: Recently, almost overnight, my brakes became VERY bad, I've almost rear-ended cars and run stop signs several times. My emergency/parking break light stays on constantly, even though the brake clearly isn't engaged. Does anybody know what's wrong, and how much it could cost to get fixed?
