Possible steering issues?

(2010-05-30 16:28:31)
1. Travis Says: I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus sedan that today just started making a really awkward noise this morning when turning the steering wheel. I only noticed it at lower speeds, like in a parking lot, and its not really a squeaking or squealing noise, but it almost sounds like an old creaky door when turning the steering wheel? Any ideas on what this could be?
2. dickfaberracing Says: get your front end greased
old creaky sounds can mean lack of lubrication in ball joints, tie rod ends etc
3. .:LynN:. Says: steering belts or fluid. Check the fluid first
4. alr538 Says: power steering pump low on fluid or getting ready to go out.
5. Jimmy C Says: that is the moving parts, have the front end serviced and greased, most likely the noise is coming from either the tie rod ends or the ball joints. It's nothing big they are not broken, they just need to be greased
6. Bruce Says: Check your power steering fluid reservoir. I bet it's low.
