My car won't go into gear but it still runs..what could it be?

Spirited Virgo Says: I'm sort of a mechanic you can see me :) Were you having trouble with your car before it happened? Did you're temp gauge ever go past the normal range? Did it happen all of a sudden? If it did, it sound like the gear selector disengaged from the transmission. Hope this helps.

chickensaladyummy Says: Sounds like your transmission is going out. I would recomend seeing a mechanic. Bad transmissions can be dangerous. It caused my friend to get in a wreck.
