Used wrong key, Lexus won't start, and key is stuck - help!!?
(2010-05-30 18:59:47) 1. Says: used my old key, Lexus won't start and now the key is stuck in the ignition.At first it just wouldn't start, but I was still able to take the key out of the ignition. After I played around with it trying to get it to start, the key got stuck...
Also, when using the correct key, I'm unable to lock the car with the remote, I have to lock it manually.
Please help I need an answer by 6AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!2. Says: Insert the correct key 3 times, don't turn the key, just insert it-let it sit for 5 seconds and then remove-do this 3 times, then insert the key and attempt to start again. Tell me what happens. Also note when the key is inserted the security Light should now be off.
If this does not work then you will need to disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer. NOrmally inserting the wrong key should not keep the correct key from starting the vehilce but I have seen it happen. Tag: Used wrong key, Lexus won't start, and key is stuck - help!!?
