Is it possible for tint to make a car hotter?

some are not. It always is hotter in the front face of the building. So I thought about why. I questioned the window side of the office being hotter than the rest of the office. Then I went to the windows themselves, and felt the heat generated off of them. It was clear that the tinted windows were generating more heat. The windows were not the mirror type but the dark type.
That is the way this whole thing started.
So time went on and the tinters came in to tint the untinted windows. During which time a co worker and I made a bet. I said it made it hotter he said no.
The tinter was there and got involved and of course ... said no.. that his tint he was putting on was reflective. but,the tint existing was just dark tint.
But the bet was whether dark tint could -"could" being the keyword. make it hotter.?
To go a little further about how this scenerio usually works....
Itn the morning when the sun is striking the windows we keep the vertical blinds closed. the windows heat up for 4 hrs and then we open them .. I think that the heat from the tinted windows (full length ) have enough heat stored in them to make it hotter in the afternoon.
The clear windows which are cooler to the touch, sould at this point , clearly make it less hot.
am I wrong?2. Says: My guess is that the tinted one was hotter because darker colors usually absorb heat, that is why when you wear black on a hot day it feels a lot hotter than when you wear white. Tag: Is it possible for tint to make a car hotter?
