5. STEVEN F Says: At this point you DON'T know you have a short circuit. You know the light is not working properly. The officer's visual observations CAN'T diagnose a short circuit. That requires actual hands on testing. MOST of the cost of repairing a short is the labor involved in locating the short. It is not possible to predict how long that will take.
