Can I cut my catalytic converter off my saturn sc2 1997 and just fill the gap with pipe and not hurt it ?

Following that, I don't think it'll hurt none, the car might feel a little sluggish (very small amount) but that's just because of the back pressure that was there is now gone. It shouldn't hurt none.4. Says: How and in what way is it hurting you to leave it alone? Out of sight, out of mind. Certainly it is gonna cost you at the emissions stations - they know what to look for and they won't give you a pass till it is replaced.And for god sakes, it is a Saturn. Definitely a muscle car it is NOT. You might as well as be driving an air-cooled VW bug.. Performance gain = 0 because they have detuned the cars.
