jo2154jim Says: Its a combination of both, if you are mechanically inclined, a good service techs manual would be a good investment, I have a Saab turbo coupe and even a saab certified mechanic (Not a dealership) is expensive. Parts are pricey for european luxury or performance vehicles. So it is true, they are more expensive, but I wouldn't say 3 times as much. Doing your own repairs cuts down the cost of the repair on any car. It pretty much depends on what type of repair,
