1. robert Says: I have a 1994 Saturn SL SOHC 5speed 100k miles. Codes 23 (IAT) and 34(MAP).. The car starts fine, drives fine, get on highway drives fine.. 10 miles down the road a sudden loss of power engine light comes on .. Power is back.. oh wait loss of power again... then engine light off.. running fine again.. MAP sensor code? What could be causing this? I have heard of people replacing it but then it ends up not being the problem. I have also been hearing a little ticking noise that is intermittent and seems to go away when the car is running hot (well normal temps)... What are my possibly causes and what should I try to do first to solve this problem?
2. Sweetdaddy Rex Says: Could be the MAP sensor, the o2 sensor, or computer problem; Take it to a qualified mechanic ! Labor, & parts will probably be about $ 100.00 ! Money well spent ! Good car !
3. solvent Says: Likely a faulty ignition coil, but can be multiple problems at the same time (you may need the help of a Vehicle Mechanic)
