Says: When you're on the highway cruising you're at a steady/constant RPM which means whatever noise the exhaust is making is constant. With certain aftermarket exhausts (also depending on the car, engine and other engine mods) that steady sound can be really droning and annoying.4. Says: Mostly noticeable in vehicles with mufflers at the end of exhaust systems (Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes) and with a chamber (trunk, rear deck) right above, and with cheap mufflers, certain rpm ranges will resonate to the point of being painful.
