98 crv cranks but won't start.?

1. Carl Says: Replaced spark plugs and fuel filter. Battery is good. Cranks like it is going to start but won't turn over. I can hear the fuel pump turn on. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

2. Michael P Says: Check your fuel filter. Also, even though your fuel pump is turning on, it may be too weak to supply enough gas to start the engine. Another thing could be your engine not having compression, but that's not likely.

But my best guess would be your fuel filter being clogged. or you have dirty fuel injectors. Also could be bad cold start injector.

And another possibilty, is that your gas tank isn't venting pressure properly, take off your gas cap and try to start it, my car has this problem.

3. bandit_60 Says: cranking and turning over is the same thing. check for spark at the plugs.
