Trouble with my 2001 Dodge Durango. HELP!!!?

(2010-08-19 15:37:53) 1. JD1985 Says: I just baught a 2001 Dodge Durango 4x4 SLT a month ago. I got it inspected a week after buying it and then thats when the trouble started RIGHT in the place i got the inspection I was backing out and it wouldnt move for a while till i was able to step on the gas alot. Well i got it out of the garage and then finally started moving. Another thing is I found out it over heats when parked but still running and just today before taking my son to school It wouldnt start till i steped on the gas and then started it. I want to know if this is going to be very costly for me or not. I would like to know what i need to do before i go to a mechanic. I really like this car .
