Why do so many people seem to hate Mercedes-Benz?

Those people obviously don't know **** about cars because Mercedes-Benz is the top selling luxury car automaker in the world. With standart 11 air bags, driver assits packages, pre-safe and some other features, it is the safest car you can drive. They are affordable for it's class too. Why would you want a cheap looking Chevy that's made out of the cheapiest plastic possible when you can drive a beautiful detail oriented built to last strong Mercedes-Benz. They probably just say that because they cannot afford one.Btw Sean Boswell is stupid. Only a idiot would buy a BMW instead of a Mercedes-Benz. He obviously doesn't know anything about cars and he fell for BMW's bullshit. Mercedes-Benz's performance is as good as BMW. BMW is slightly better at performance but by like 0.2. Also BMW is not nearly as luxurious as a Benz. Where else could you get a big heavy full size sedan that has the performance of a sports car(S-class)? Exactly. BMW is just lying. BMW looks cheap too. Mercedes-Benz is much better.3. Says: I'm not aware of anyone who "hates" Mercedes.
Not all Fords and Chevys are "cheap crap" any more. While Mercedes (and BMW, etc.) may be engineering trend-setters, the technology gravitates down to more mundane makes with time. I had a Ford Fusion for several years and much of the engine, safety, and electronics tech was pioneered by Mercedes a few years earlier. It was an amazing car, half the cost of a similarly sized Benz, cheaper to maintain, and handled nearly as well as an E-Class. The only reason that I got rid of it was that I got a "too good to be true" offer on a late-model Acura.
Not everyone can afford the price of admission to Mercedes ownership and others would rather buy something more mundane for any number or reasons, such as a lack of a need to tout their financial status or wanting to send their kids to college.
What most folks dislike (including many Benz owners) are the plonks who seem to be screaming, "Look at me! I'm driving a Mercedes and you poor slobs are driving Chevys and Fords." We laugh like hyenas when those idiots do something stupid and wrap their Benzes around trees and phone poles.4. Says: do you really even have to ask? Benzes are flashy cars in all the wrong ways, just look at that monstrous grille and that stupid hood ornament on the front. a real car stands out because of its performance, not its style. in addition their hideous appearance, there's the cost factor. Benzes require a lot of maintenance, and repairs are expensive. in short, why the hell would I get a Benz when I could get a BMW? they're sportier and they're a bit more low-key in terms of styling.
