1. Joey Black Says: i drive a nissan altima 99 gxe and it vibrates a lot inside while on the highway when going maybe 60mph or above is this normal? But when on a normal road its ok it doesn't vibrate even if i do speed that fast?
2. Kaylyn Shaw Says: NO get the tires balanced and try again. tire balance is the most common source of vibrations.
3. Michael Says: The critical information is that it only does it on highways. The difference with the highway is that trucks drive at high speeds on it - otherwise it is basically the same as any other road. Trucks cause road surfaces to become "washboard" with ripples running crosswise - that is what your car is responding to. The primary suspect is shock absorbers, often called struts. Yours are probably the originals and are ready for replacement.

An experienced tire man can give you the most information about the condition of both your tires and shocks. Bad shock absorbers leave recognizable wear patterns on the tires, and it is possible one of the tires is starting to separate, which can show up as jouncing on uneven pavement.
4. jerry b Says: Start by checking your tire pressure. Then your tire wear and condition/suspension

As guy above me said it is probably something to do with suspension, but it never hurts to check tire pressure first. While checking your tire pressure also check your tires for abnormal wear this can help you know what.where in your suspension it is.
5. bgibby62 Says: ok,Highways are designed with a crown..the high point being to wash the water off the pavement before you get on it.-Have your tires Balanced and have an alignment check..Go out and push down hard on your hood.if it bounces 3 times ...buy new shocks...geeze
6. bobweb Says: Replace worn tires or bad tires. Rebalance the good tires. Then have a great day! Note: Even a "bad" tire can show proper balance on a tire balance machine.
7. Rita Says: nope, tht definitely doesn't sound normal. i'd go and get that checked out if i were you.
8. ;alsdjf;lakdfj Says: I would have someone check your alignment first and if it is good try balancing your tires
