Reset battery light in a 2000 Ford Focus?

1. Matt Says: I have a 2000 Ford Focus. Just got the alternator replaced.. battery is fine. I don't know much about cars but I hear there is a way to reset the battery light. Can someone tell me how?
2. scharpp Says: You can disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. That will reset your computer but i am not sure about the charge indicator light. You may have gotten a bad alt.
