Silverado question.! need speed.?

Brad Says: the 4.3 is a garbage engine, it literally can't get over 200hp and a truck being as heavy as it is you just need more hp so an engine swap is the best way to go, theres lots of crate engines out there, but its probably just as much to find a truck of the same year same wheel base with a 5.3 engine which is your best bet cause that engine is far more customizable then the 4.33. rick29148 Says: You've asked two different questions: Quick & speed. Both can be addressed by the same fix, but with opposite results. If you want quick, change the rear gears to a higher ratio. If you top speed, change the gears to a lower ratio.4.
