What would happen if I rebuilt my motor?

(2010-09-26 02:10:18)
1. Adin Says: If I rebuilt my motor on my dodge durango will my digital milage counter keep on counting up or will it restart from 0?

and I have 170k on my durango, is that bad miles?
2. Big Deall Says: No offense but if you have to ask that question do not attempt the rebuild yourself. The counter will not reset because you changed the engine. One other thing a "motor" runs on electricity an "engine" runs onpressure and combustion.
3. Matthew H Says: the odometer counts miles on the vehicle, not the engine, it would still count up. If the vehicle had been well maintained 170k miles is nothing.
4. Lucis D Says: then u would get a new motor
5. ken k Says: whats the matter with the engine?miles stay the same
6. chevyraceman_383 Says: Listen to what Big deal said! I agree 100%
