How to fix choke on rx7?

shaun d Says: the cable as probley stretched or snaped bye a new 1 take out the remaining old cable and replace the new 1 in the same way or u could bye a automatic choke conversion kit to replace the cabled 1 bit more money but well worth it

Gary Says: You say manual choke so what's with the switch. If you push gas pedal to floor does choke plate close? If no get some spray carb. cleaner and spray plate and linkage on outside linkage. wriggle plate and rods and see if they loosen up. Of course I presume you have carb.Some have a round black cover which has thermal spring inside, may need to clean and reset.Hope this helps.
