How would I make a car battery?

1. R J Says: do I just get a chamber, put in 2 electrodes, and fill it with lead acid or some other battery acid?
2. Jonathan S Says: Well, in your standard lead-acid battery, each cell will produce 2.1 volts (Hence a 12 volt battery being fully charged has 12.6 volts). So you'll need to be able to build and separate 6 cells within this battery. And then keep the fluid level high enough to keep the plates from sulfating, but not so high you bridge the cells. Then you have to design it to carry enough CA or CCA to start your vehicle.

Best to leave this battery building to the companies that design and build them and sell them.
3. Mike Loch Says: I dont think it that simple
4. Frankie Says: You are headed for trouble if you try to make a battery. Put 911 on speed dial.
