1. Tonithetiger Says: I just bought a brand new 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab. I got an incredible deal on it and love the thing, even w/ the 4.8 engine! - I want to put at least an intake/exhaust system on it, as well as a level kit.....I'm having trouble finding info on the best brand/mods for this engine/model, I've also heard some bad stuff about level kits-concerning ball joint wear....? Any newer Chevy enthusiasts or mechanics that KNOW about these trucks and safe modifications??? Please help....
Thanks
2. Cable T Says: It's under warranty. Leave it alone till the warranty expires. If you must do something then add dual exhausts from the catalytic converter back. I'd recommend a Flowmaster or Magnaflow muffler for the sound. But you go messing with any emissions crap or tuning and your warranty is void. Same with the suspension. You want to play with a truck go find an older one and have at it.
3. Barry V Says: you can get new keys for the front torsion bars that will level it.. as for the intake a k&n air filter would do the job... all vehicles have a cold air induction set up from the factory. i would put a magnaflow muffler on it... other than those the only thing i would get for it would be a hypertech power programmer.... that will let you set things like the top speed limiter rev limiter shift firmness, the shift points and things like that
4. Bakon (future ex-con) Says: Its already been mentioned youll void your warrienty. Wait till its over or find something else to gear up.

You want to do bolt ons? You do relize they wont do anything noticeable except produce a sexy exhaust note. Claims of horse power gains are false(well exagerated) and messing with your complete exhaust system will acctually make you lose torque/performance instead of gaining it. Gm dose have a line of performance parts for that truck and engine that don;t void your warrienty but you must purchase from them (and some parts dealer installed)

Nothings sexier than a well maintained vehicle, wash, polish and wax if you really take pride in your truck. A well maintained vehicle shows you got skills and spirit, a modded car only shows you got way too into your paycheck.(and that autozone was having a sale)

Stop "modding" it thats what teens do to rice burners and passed down cars, do you really want to sink to there level?
