1. Stacy Fraley Says: Me and my husband have been looking at a Chrysler 300, 6 cylinder for awile now. I have had a few people tell me that they are good cars, but also a lot have told me that the MPG is horrible, & that it is a gas hog!!! My husbands friend has one, and it just broke down the other day! My husband is wanting one so bad he isn't really looking to into them, (How they run, MPG, cost of parts, Ect).
So what I'm asking for you guys... Is just ANYTHING you can tell me!
*What is a MPG on them (highway & city)
*Are the parts expensive when it has to be fixed?
*Do they break down alot?
*Are they good in the snow?

Just anything you can think of that can help me!
Oh yeah, we have an 18 month old son...So would you prefer it for a child?

Thanks so much!
2. Matt S Says: well it depends on what size V-6.. My wife and I took her parents charger (basically same thing as a 300 just not as nice on the inside) with the 3.5L High Output V-6 from michigan to florida and back and i loved that car. Nice and peppy, 250 horsepower. I was seeing 30mpg the whole time while doing 80mph on the freeway. Very nice ride. We also barrowed this car in the winter before we bought our durango because of the snow and it wasnt AWD it was just FWD but with the traction control it did a great job. Hell in spots the snow was probably 6-7 inches. No problems. I would say get the 300 or get a charger just be sure to find one with the 3.5L V-6 other wise the 2.7L V-6 is just not powerful enough for that size car. The reason i suggest the charger is because when my mother in law leased her charger dodge had the special going where they give you the 3.5L upgrade over the 2.7L for free so i see lots of the chargers that say 3.5 on the outside. So you should have lots of choices with the charger. Plus the charger should be chaper vs the 300.
3. Patrick Says: They are strong performing cars if you do get the available 3.5L V6. The 2.7 is weak for the car. They handle and perform surprisingly well for a RWD (not FWD) full-size sedan. MPG tend to hover around 20 or so and parts are not more than any other domestic vehicle.
